Job Description
Job Title:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Travel/Contract Night Shift
Location:
Rochester New York
Job Type:
Contract Travel Assignment
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12hr Nights
Hours: 36 hours/week guaranteed
Pay: $1008 $1152/week
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under supervision of an RN or physician
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient conditions
- Administer prescribed medications and injections
- Assist with hygiene dressing changes and wound care
- Collect lab specimens and ensure accurate documentation
- Support during procedures and medical examinations
- Educate patients and families on medications and selfcare
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1 year of LPN/LVN experience. This is NOT an LTC unit; minimum of 12 years of acute care hospital experience is required.
- License: Active LPN/LVN license in New York (required)
- Education: Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or equivalent
- Skills: Excellent communication clinical accuracy and time management
Travel & Local Considerations:
- Candidates residing 50 miles from the facility are eligible for travel pay.
