Overview
The Azure Synapse MicroStrategy Developer plays a vital role in transforming data into actionable insights for the organization. This position is essential for driving data strategy enabling data accessibility and enhancing the decisionmaking process through advanced analytics and visualization. The developer will leverage Azure Synapse Analytics to integrate analyze and manage vast datasets while utilizing MicroStrategy for creating intuitive dashboards and reports. Collaboration with various stakeholders is key to understanding business requirements and translating them into effective data solutions. Given the large volumes and complexity of data this role demands a balance of technical knowledge analytical thinking and communication skills to ensure that datadriven insights are aligned with business objectives. The Azure Synapse MicroStrategy Developer will be pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency and supporting the organizations strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data pipelines in Azure Synapse for efficient data integration.
- Create and manage MicroStrategy dashboards and reports according to user requirements.
- Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to define data needs.
- Optimize data models and design for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Implement ETL processes to transform raw data into useful insights.
- Ensure the data architecture aligns with best practices and organizational standards.
- Utilize SQL for querying and managing databases effectively.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data quality issues across systems.
- Conduct performance tuning on MicroStrategy reports to improve efficiency.
- Provide technical support and training for endusers on MicroStrategy tools.
- Document solution designs process mappings and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with IT and Data Governance teams to ensure compliance and security.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and features in Azure Synapse and MicroStrategy.
- Participate in project planning and provide time estimates for tasks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the data team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience working with Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Strong proficiency in MicroStrategy development.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data and analytics roles.
- Extensive knowledge of SQL and data manipulation techniques.
- Experience with ETL tools and processes.
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts and practices.
- Understanding of Business Intelligence principles and frameworks.
- Previous experience in dashboard design and development.
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to nontechnical users.
- Experience with cloudbased solutions and big data technologies is a plus.
- Certifications in Azure or MicroStrategy are a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
