Position Summary: 

As a Technical Architect at CBN you will be responsible for the highlevel design and implementation of complex computer systems and networks. This role involves analyzing system requirements ensuring systems are secure efficient and scalable and providing technical leadership throughout the system development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Design: Develop and document comprehensive system architectures including hardware infrastructure software security and network components ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.
• Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders including business analysts project managers and endusers to gather and analyze system requirements translating them into technical specifications.
• Integration: Ensure seamless integration of new systems with existing infrastructure identifying and resolving any compatibility issues.
• Security: Implement robust security measures to protect data and systems from threats including encryption firewalls and access controls.
• Performance Monitoring: Enable continuous monitoring of system performance to identify and address bottlenecks and optimizing system efficiency.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system architecture configurations and changes ensuring accuracy and accessibility for future reference.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.

Qualifications :

Knowledge Experience and Skills

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field; or college diploma and significant relevant experience.
• Certifications: Certifications related to networking OS and security are an asset.  Open Group Certified Architect; Certified System Architect (CSA); Azure Solutions Architect Expert; AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional; or similar certifications are also an asset. 
• Knowledge: System/infrastructure architecture design principles methodologies frameworks and best practices; Network protocols configurations and security; Cybersecurity principles practices and tools; Project management fundamentals.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills excellent communication and teamwork abilities and the ability to convey technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
• Competencies: Ability to work under pressure attention to detail adaptability and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
• Experience: 510 years of experience in technical architecture or related roles with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex systems.

Mandatory Requirements

• Languages: Fluency in English (reading writing speaking).
• Travel: Ability to travel internationally (passport required) approx. 48 weeks/year.
• Security Clearance: Ability to obtain (in a reasonable timeframe) and maintain Government of Canada Reliability (Level I) personal security clearance.
