Job Description

At LinkedIn our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture connection clarity and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days as determined by the business needs of the team. This role can be based in our Sunnyvale San Francisco New York City or Chicago offices.
 

We are looking for a Sales Performance Consultant who partners with LinkedIn Talent Solutions (LTS) senior Sales leaders and collaborates closely with crossfunctional partners and our GotoMarket Enablement (GTME) team to deliver transformational behavior change initiatives that lead to transformational behavior change initiatives that lead to improved business results. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about the science of selling and experienced at driving organizational change.

As a Senior Sales Performance Consultant you are responsible for recommendations and that improve sales strategy processes and performance. You are highly attuned to the Sales organizations strategy and goals acting as extension of its leadership team and partnering with Sales leaders to provide proactive recommendations that help grow the business.  

You will leverage qualitative and quantitative analyses to provide insights into current sales blockers and skills and technology gaps that limit the potential of the sales team. Your extensive sales and business acumen ensures your successful evaluation of gaps in existing sales data and sales strategies. With these insights you will identify opportunities for business critical sales processes skills and technology enablement creating strategic plans to improve seller performance by either winning more or saving time. You will design and execute tailored solutions delivering learning experiences and change management strategies that enhance sales teams career trajectories and drive measurable results that move the business forward. Through your deep understanding of sales through consistent direct observation of sellers and sales calls you will also act as the voice of the field to input into global Enablement priorities and initiatives. You will coach and activate sales leaders and sales reps to increase their overall performance. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as GTME business partner to VP Sales Leaders and a highly matrixed crossfunctional organization to identify critical business needs and gaps and develop strategic plans that drive business impact 
  • Conduct datadriven analysis through direct observation qualitative and quantitative methods to uncover knowledge skills technology and operational process gaps 
  • Design and execute a comprehensive and scaled regional enablement strategy that delivers quantifiable behavior change and business results 
  • Measure effectiveness and ROI of initiatives in partnership with Sales Operations and influence sales leaders to hold their teams accountable for achieving operational metrics. Use feedback loops to inform and refine tactics to further support behavior change in partnership with Sales and other partner teams. 
  • Collaborate with multiple senior stakeholders and build coalitions of executive sponsors 
  • Demonstrate command of adult learning principles to design effective and engaging training experiences 
  • Leverage your sales expertise and business acumen to shape enablement strategy drive innovation and mentor junior ICs across GTM Enablement 
  • Coach sales leaders and sales reps to improve their performance. 
  • Innovate using enablement technology to monitor knowledge/skill gaps surface wins and drive learning reinforcement (e.g. GONG AI etc.
  • Drive change management efforts by securing alignment buyin and sponsorship from key stakeholder and crossfunctional teams. Deliver exceptional enablement and change management strategies that ensure sustainable longterm behavior change

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 10 years combined of sales sales operations change management sales enablement or consulting experience 
  • Bachelors degree in business economics marketing communications engineering product management education or other related fields. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 3 years of quotacarrying sales experience (or clientfacing role for Customer Success SPCs) 
  • Coaching certification or 2 years managing a sales team 
  • Masters degree in business marketing education or other related fields 
  • Executive communications skills with demonstrated ability to influence executives and align groups of senior stakeholders without formal authority 
  • Ability to navigate a complex matrixed and fast paced organization partnering with crossfunctional stakeholders to design and implement largescale programs and change management initiatives that deliver transformative business outcomes
  • Deep behavior and / or technology change management experience
  • Ability to perform robust data analysis including generating sales insights 
  • Experience with adult learning concepts and learning design concepts and tools with demonstrated ability to build programs that are innovative and effective in driving business outcomes  
  • Program and project management skills with a proven ability to own and lead an enablement program from needs identification to completion. Your strategic vision and stakeholder management capabilities will drive outcomes and longterm impact.  
  • Resourcefulness in ambiguity ability to selfsolve when faced with challenges 
  • Ability to deconstruct complex problems identify root causes and develop solutions that align with business priorities 
  • Command of an audience as demonstrated by facilitation and/or public speaking experience 
  • Fluency in ML/AI tools specifically Sales Conversational Intelligence software Learning Management Systems AI Sales Enablement software project management software and MS Excel and PowerPoint.

The pay range for this role is $116000 to $176000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set depth of experience certifications and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
