Key job responsibilities
Design develop and implement novel optimization models that revolutionize Same Day Delivery network inventory planning
Lead the mathematical formulation of complex supply chain problems selecting and adapting appropriate optimization techniques for largescale deployment
Drive the productionalization of optimization models by collaborating with Software Engineering teams to architect scalable solutions on AWS infrastructure
Develop rigorous scientific approaches to measure model performance establish key metrics and quantify business impact
Partner with crossfunctional teams to translate business requirements into mathematical frameworks and ensure solutions meet operational constraints
A day in the life
We are now seeking Applied Scientist to to help us scale PAM for worldwide operations. This is a Day 1 opportunity to be part of an entrepreneurial and pioneering team building from the ground up. You will be at the forefront of building models developing data solutions and creating new visualization metrics to enhance S&OP activities and drive process automation. You will play a vital role in maintaining and creating new data pipelines and create new models consumed by worldwide S&OP and operation teams. About the team

3 years of building models for business application experience
PhD or Masters degree and 3 years of CS CE ML or related field experience
Experience programming or scripting language like Python Java C or C
Experience in designing experiments and statistical analysis of results
Experience in any of the following areas: algorithms and data structures parsing numerical optimization data mining parallel and distributed computing highperformance computing
Experience implementing algorithms using toolkits and selfdeveloped code
Experience in professional software development
Experience in developing Optimization models for Supply Chain

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
