What Youll Do
- Storyboard film produce and edit engaging and highquality video content to live across various social media platforms including TikTok Instagram and YouTube.
- Manage and organize content workflows and schedules.
- Craft timely pitches and contribute as needed to comprehensive editorial coverage of streaming personalities viral moments influencers video games memes and the greater landscape of internet and pop culture with a keen eye for how pop culture crosses over into music sports and style ranging from daily features to premium and evergreen content.
- Communicate with the Head of Pop Culture to develop stories and strategize coverage around major moments and events.
- Work with Head of Pop Culture and Social Editor Pop Culture to conceptualize strategies to best distribute content via our networks from social media to our video properties.
- Communicate with other departments to develop stories strategize coverage and spearhead new ways to attract loyal readers.
- Ideate socialfirst ideas and tactics in partnership with social video and production teams for content that lives across socials.
Who You Are
- 2 years of demonstrated content creation experience.A deep knowledge of streamers creators and internet culture relevant to Complex.
- Alwayson approach to work and the ability to keep pace with the internet.
- Possess a deep understanding of all social media and streaming platforms. (TikTok YouTube Instagram Twitter Twitch Kick Snapchat)Willingness to appear on camera in social media content.
- Demonstrable commitment to accuracy; factchecking or copy editing background a plus.
- Must be comfortable working with a broad range of crossfunctional staffjunior to senior editorial analytics design etc.
- Must be willing to work nights and occasional weekends/holidays for coverage.
- Excellent organizational and time management skillsability to perform in a fastpaced everevolving environment and think quickly and strategically to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong understanding of analytics and social media trends across platforms.
- Experience with Capcut or Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Adobe Premiere) is a must.2 years of demonstrated writing and reporting experience at a publisher or website is a plus

$75000 $85000 a year
The Pay Range which consists of salary and commission for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including but not limited to location experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of Complex Total Rewards offerings for employees.
