Job Description
The Loading Monitor works under minimal supervision at a customer site preparing tractor trailers to receive waste loads and overseeing the proper loading of nonhazardous waste onto tractor trailers.
- Monitor the flow of waste being loaded inside tractor trailer.
- Instruct Driver when to move the tractor trailer to ensure evenly distributed loading of trailer.
- Complete log entries recording times weights activities and staff details.
- Responsible for maintaining clean work area by sweeping and power washing trailer interior and surrounding bay(s) as needed.
- Place plastic liners inside empty trailers prior to loading of waste.
- Transport delivered liners to storage area.
- Follow all health and safety and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures.
- Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
Pay starting at $21.00 hourly
Qualifications :
Basic Required Qualifications:
- Willingness and ability to work a variable schedule which may include holidays and weekends (scheduled in advance)
- Willingness and ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection steel toed shoes hard hat gloves etc.
- Ability to climb stairs repeatedly throughout workday
- Willing and able to work in all climate conditions
- Ability to bend stand and traverse uneven surfaces
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in environmental disposal
- Ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers
- Ability to follow directions or instructions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on occasion
- Ability to work independently without immediate supervision
- Ability to use a computer to communicate create and access information
