1st Shift Foundry Cleaner
Title: Foundry Furnace Cleaner
Status: Hourly
Shift: 1st 6:30am2:30pm
Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to the Foundry Area Manager
Location: Mentor / RP OH
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred and may be substituted by experience.
Personal Characteristics: Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality. Have a history of dependability as demonstrated with strong attendance record. Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving. Have strong sense of urgency. Individual must be a motivated selfstarter with the ability to work independently. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers clients coworkers and supervisors.
Principal Area of Responsibility: The foundry cleaner will perform general cleaning of the foundry department.
Specific Duties:
Perform general cleaning responsibilities of dusting sweeping and throwing away trash.
Perform all responsibilities of the furnace cleaner.
Ensure that the Foundry Departments high standard of housekeeping is met.
Organize work for smooth operations. Ensure that required documentation is maintained.
Perform other duties as designated by the supervisor.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers clients coworkers and supervisors.
- Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned.
Physical and Mental Demands:
Incumbent must physically and mentally perform the job demands as listed below.
The ability to handle high stress associated with high activity with tight deadlines.
