About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager Local Government the Project Director will be accountable for operational service delivery strategic direction developing and managing all MPS (Mornington Peninsula Shire) contract services to ensure the achievement of the contract. The role will also provide support in identifying growth opportunities in both contract works and adjacencies with current and prospective clients.
Inspiring a shared vision across the team this role will lead a team in the service delivery of the MPS contract. It will contribute to the development of the team financial performance and operational outcomes on behalf of Ventia.
The role has a high profile with our client identifying and managing complex important business outcomes. Critical to its success will be the ability to establish relationships clients delivery partners lead the operational leadership team to facilitate safe and efficient service delivery.
Other Responsibilities:
- Provide proactive leadership foster a cohesive team environment and support personal and professional growth.
- Ensure high levels of service delivery to the client.
- Demonstrate strong commercial understanding and manage client contracts effectively.
- Act as an agent of change seeking and implementing opportunities for improvement.
- Promote employee wellbeing and worklife balance.
- Oversee contract budgets monitor financial performance and drive financial outcomes.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have experience in Senior Management and Operational roles ideally with relevant Tertiary qualifications accompanied with:
- Leadership in safety culture and outcomes
- Success in managing large fieldbased operational teams
- Strong management commercial and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle complex and ambiguous problems
- Critical thinking and risk assessment
- Opportunity identification and strategic planning
- Fostering a culture of trust and shared authority
