About the Role

OurAlcohol and Other DrugSpecialists support prisoners to access prisonbased drug and alcohol programs and services to support their role has a particular focus on harm minimisation and facilitating programs and services that support increased awareness of harm reduction strategies both in custody and role will see you also facilitating groupbased programs that increase selfefficacy through the development of effective coping strategies and relapse prevention planning.

About Your Skills and Experience

To be successful inthis role you will have:

  • A health social or behavioral science undergraduate degree a Certificate IV in AOD Diploma in AOD or extensive AOD experience
  • Experience working in the AOD sector in either screening and assessment case work or program delivery
  • A desire to make a difference to the lives of people who may experience disadvantage have challenging behaviours and complex needs
  • Experience working collaboratively with others in a complex environment
  • Ability to embrace change and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills
  • Empathy and cultural awareness
  • Resilience
