As the Student Program Officer for the Hansen Scholarship at the University of Melbourne youll be at the heart of nurturing exceptional student talent. Youll have the opportunity to coordinate comprehensive development programs provide crucial pastoral care and contribute to shaping the experiences of elite scholars. Your role will directly impact the academic and personal growth of some of Australias most promising students making this a key position for those passionate about student support and leadership development in higher education.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate Development Programs: Organise and deliver events facilitate scholar engagement and support studentled initiatives within the Hansen Scholars Development Program.
  • Provide Pastoral Care: Schedule regular wellbeing checkins create individual care plans for vulnerable scholars and liaise with counsellors to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Manage Program Administration: Assist with scholar selection onboarding and ongoing eligibility processes maintaining accurate records and databases.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Contribute to innovation in program practices analysing feedback and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance the scholar experience.

You are a dedicated professional with experience in student support services excellent organisational skills and a passion for nurturing young talent in a highachieving academic environment.

You may also:

  • Have a tertiary qualification and/or equivalent mix of education and relevant administrative and student pastoral care experience.
  • Demonstrate commitment to providing highlevel service to diverse student populations.
  • Demonstrate experience with key enterprise IT systems (e.g. StudentOne Salesforce OneCRM).
  • Show ability to handle multiple demands under pressure and meet deadlines effectively.
