Available Schedule: Mon & Tues: 12PM 8:15PM

At Securitas onsite Security Officers are the foundation of our organization. Our Officers are trained to provide a high level of professionalism and specialization for their assignments help safeguard people property and information.

What Your Day May Look Like:

• Conduct internal foot patrols to check for unsafe conditions hazards security violations blocked ingress and egress mechanical problems unauthorized persons inspects grounds using appropriate equipment and protective gear.
• Complete daily activity reports incident reports and logs for site; writes and/or types reports and/or enters information in a computer using standard grammar inspects security control logs and takes action as required.
• Monitors customers provides guidance as needed and assists Asset Protection with information gathering.
• Provides an atmosphere in which all customers and client employees know that the client cares about their needs.
• Present a good image to the client employees and customers.
• Monitors entrances and exits; acts to prevent unapproved or unlawful entry.
• Operates in a calm manner and directs persons who cause disturbance to leave the property.
• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents emergencies or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage and provides direction or information to others.
• Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to client representatives company management or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the site.
• Acts to ensure that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements and in accord with client standards.
• Carries out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Position Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
• Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Security military or law enforcement experience a plus.
• Must have Day / Swing Shift availability.
• Must be reliable accountable punctual and have a strong work ethic.
• Conflict resolution and deescalation skills a plus.
• Intermediate computer / technology skills needed to ensure completion of daily activity reports logs via handheld devices and computers camera monitoring and reporting alarms.
• Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills to assist customers vendors drivers general public coworkers Asset Protection and Office Management.
• Must be able to conduct internal foot patrol and stand on your feet for long periods of time to check for unsafe conditions hazards security violations blocked entrances/exits mechanical issues and unauthorized persons on premises.
• Must be comfortable with access control and turning away public / visitors that are not permitted on site.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid and effective judgement and use appropriate escalation and force if required.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment while remaining organized and professional.
• Must be able to learn and adhere to security operations.
• Must to provide high quality customer service inperson over the phone and via radio.
• Must have a personal vehicle Colorado Drivers License and clean driving record.
• Must be able to work in a team environment to ensure site/organizational goals are achieved daily.
• Must be able to obtain Pueblo Guard Card License and maintain license every year.
• Must be able to attend inperson interview in Colorado Springs.
• If hired must be able to attend inperson Orientation in Colorado Springs for preparation of site placement in Pueblo.
