Job Description

Job Title: Interventional Pain Management Physician
Location: Alpena Michigan Area

Position Overview:
A pain management group is seeking a skilled Interventional Pain Management Physician to join the team in the Alpena Michigan area. This position offers flexibility with normal business hours and no nights or weekends required. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing interventional pain management services including injections and spinal cord stimulator implants.

Compensation Options:
They offer two compensation options for the Interventional Pain Management Physician:

  • 1099 Option:

    • Twoyear income guarantee
    • Medical malpractice coverage for the first two years
    • Stipend for CME/licensing/health expenses
    • After two years transition to a productivitybased model earning 100 of generated revenue less any direct expenses.
  • W2 Option:

    • Base salary
    • Eligible for fulltime benefits including medical dental and vision insurance
    • After two years eligible for an RVU activity bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of pain management procedures including nerve blocks manual manipulation epidural injections and radiofrequency ablations.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with chronic pain conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of a Pain Management Fellowship program
  • Board certification or eligibility in Pain Medicine
  • Anesthesia or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) background required
  • Extensive knowledge and proficiency in pain management procedures
  • Comprehensive understanding of pharmacological treatment options for pain management
