School Summary:
Founders Classical Academy follows a democratic classical model using Core Knowledge curriculum based in classical liberal arts and sciences with a strong emphasis on civic education.
Overview
The Dean of School is responsible for overseeing the academic and behavioral integrity of the school environment. This role includes managing student and staff discipline implementing corrective measures and fostering a positive school culture that promotes academic excellence and personal growth.
Key Dean Responsibilities
Student Discipline Management:
Develop and enforce schoolwide policies regarding student behavior.
Address disciplinary issues promptly and fairly ensuring adherence to school policies.
Conduct investigations into disciplinary matters and recommend appropriate actions.
Staff Correction and Support:
Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
Assist in developing professional development plans for staff needing improvement.
Facilitate corrective actions in collaboration with human resources when necessary.
Academic Oversight:
Collaborate with faculty to enhance curriculum delivery and student engagement.
Support teachers in classroom management strategies and best practices.
Analyze student performance data to identify areas for improvement.
Teaching Responsibilities:
Teach 14 courses to foster student learning and engagement.
Adhere to ResponsiveEd teaching standards.
Campus Testing Organization:
Organize and oversee the administration of standardized testing and assessments.
Ensure compliance with testing regulations and maintain the integrity of testing environments.
Analyze testing data to identify trends and inform instructional strategies.
Community Engagement:
Foster positive relationships between students staff and parents.
Organize and participate in school events that promote community involvement.
Serve as a liaison between the school and external stakeholders.
Crisis Management:
Develop and implement crisis intervention strategies.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students and staff during emergencies.
Other Duties:
Participate in the development and implementation of school policies.
Attend faculty meetings and contribute to discussions on school improvement.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Headmaster
Teacher Position Summary:
The teacher will facilitate learning for ResponsiveEd students in order to fulfill their potential for intellectual emotional physical and social growth. The teacher enables and works with parents and students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. They provide leadership motivation and rigorous education for all students.
