Hybrid: This role will be a mix of inoffice work at Barnes Canyon site located in San Diego CA and remote work. This position is expected to be in office 35 days per week but may vary depending on business demands.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
As a Procurement Specialist youll play a critical role in managing the sourcing and procurement of components and finished goods. Youll collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to keep our production plans on track inventory levels healthy and supply issues minimal.
Procurement Specialists at Tandem are also responsible for:
- Managing procurement activities and supplier/ contract manufacturer relationships in order to support production needs
- Sending accurate forecasts and planning updates to supplier and CMs
- Tracking and maintain optimal inventory levels and lead times
- Resolving delivery issues and supplier performance concerns quickly
- Handling change orders part setups and BOM updates in the ERP system
- Ensuring data integrity across item masters MRP inputs and component records
- Collaborating with Engineering and Contract Manufacturers to validate BOMs
- Supporting sourcing for new products longlead buys and endoflife components
- Conduct supplier reviews and assist in QBRs negotiations and KPI tracking
- Drive continuous improvement efforts across procurement and material flow
- Quickly and proactively resolve and/or escalate issues
- Other task as assigned
WHAT YOULL NEED:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- 4 years of experience in material procurement with change order experience required
- Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics D365 and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of MRP planning purchasing processes and inventory management
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and support manufacturing requirements
- Effective communicator capable of navigating both strategic discussions and tactical
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and followthrough
- Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problemsolving
- Experience working crossfunctionally with engineering planning and manufacturing teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced dynamic environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch see talk or hear in a standard office environment. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting base pay range for this position is $70700 .00 $79600.00 annually. Base pay will vary based on jobrelated knowledge skills experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidates location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus equity and a robust benefits package.
