About Darlot:
With over a century of mining history Darlot is a cornerstone operation of Vault Minerals Limited producing highgrade gold production. With a strong legacy Darlot is focused on the future optimising production and driving exploration programs to extend the mines lifespan and uncover new resources. The Darlot mine is located about 900 km northeast of Perth and 121 km north of Leonora in the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.


Job Description:
The Nippers role is to assist the mining team to achieve the daily targets while working closely with the jumbo drill operators ensuring all tasks are carried out in a safe timely and efficient manner.

The position will be offered as an 7 nights on 7 days on 14 days off roster FIFO from Perth or DIDO from surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Promote and maintain a culture of safety adhering to Vault Minerals safety standards.
  • Safe transportation delivery and set up of ground support and other jumbo development related activities in line with shift plan.
  • Demonstrate good organization skills understand the heading priorities and work with the jumbo drillers to prevent delays.
  • Set up development headings as per the Mining Instructions in a timely manner.
  • Display a high level of standard to housekeeping within the work area with LV and storage areas.
  • Manage inventory of ground support in the storage areas and report to shift supervisor any concerns as soon as you become aware
  • Provide reliable and accurate assistance and practical application to minimise down time and potential loss of production within the development mining team
  • Ensure that the company has the capacity to achieve Zero Harm by actively identifying and reporting hazards using the sites hazard reporting system
  • Other duties as required by your Supervisor / Manager.

Key factors to your success include:

  • Previous underground mining experience preferred
  • WA Manual Drivers Licence (C Class)
  • Senior First Aid
  • Dangerous Goods & Security Card (DGSC)
  • Australian Working Rights
