The Practice Finance and Operations Leader overall responsibility is to assist Practice Leader with financial and operational excellence of the healthcare practice.
Collaborates with Practice Leader relevant to specific projects
Responsible for strategy and growth of Practice Area
Responsible for guiding the project delivery strategy and performance outcomes within Practice Area
Responsible for championing excellence in design and process within Practice Area o Reports to Practice Leader and works in collaboration with Director of Design Engagement
Responsible for leading a team for the successful completion of the teams projects including the teams performance (utilization and staffing)
Reports to Practice Project Delivery Leader (when one exists) or Practice Leaders (when Project Delivery Leader does not exist) and works in collaboration with Project Managers
Responsible for actively managing project budgets schedules project communications and documentation and project team assignments
Reports to Practice Project Delivery Leader (when one exists) or Practice Leaders
(when Project Delivery Leader does not exist) and works in collaboration with Team Leader)
Foster an environment of learning collaboration innovation professional development and communication.
Alignment of contracts and drawings and events for the practice
A healthy understanding of profit/ loss statements financials forecasting and pipeline management
A focus on accuracy of project planning and financial projections
Coordinate with Practice Project Delivery Leader to develop quality management plan.
Develop a process for design quality and hold teams accountable for design pinups and quality control reviews for all projects; assist Project Managers in budgeting reviews into their work plans.
Conduct regular deep dives with project teams; investigate depth efficiency and effectiveness of process.
Report on Practice Area design culture process outcomes research initiatives thought leadership and opportunities for innovation at key milestones.
Develop and maintain a design and thought leadership team to serve as a practice areawide resource.
Monitor and develop the skill levels process and performance of individual team members and project teams alongside practice leader.
Participate in recruitment and interviews for project staff.
Participate in team member 5s and performance dialogues.
Facilitate professional development for design team members through educational seminars conferences and lectures.
Cultivate crossgenerational mentorship. o Maintain awareness and knowledge of industry trends innovation opportunities and best practices. Cultivate areas of research.
Represent the firms design culture by maintaining personal involvement and encourage team member involvement in design award juries community engagements related to design publications and academia.
Identify projects within the Practice Area for award submission; lead submission process alongside MPS awards committee.
Deepen thought leadership based on Practice Area research and expertise.
Design Professional/Operations Leader within the AE Industry with 15 years of experience.
A masters in finance or MBA preferred
Ability to identify inspire and mentor talent.
Strong collaborator; respected among peers and teammates.
Exceptional client relationships and track record of trust.
Exceptional communication skills.
Strength of experience and contribution to professional organizations and academic institutions.
