Job Description
We are looking for Material Handler for our Scarborough(Tiffield) location.
- Shift: Flexible on Midnight Dayshift and afternoons. Should be willing to rotate or stay on a shift.
- Wage : $23.16
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplies and removes material to and from all machines in the plant
- Stock labels in racks and/or designated areas
- Keeps outgoing machine lines as empty as possible to prevent machine shut down.
- Keeps incoming machine lines as full as possible to prevent machine shut down.
- Wraps skids when moving throughout the plant (as required)
- Assist receiver whenever possible to put away incoming material
- Assist shipper whenever possible to load outgoing material
- Load and unloads shipping lines at all times
- Always use PPE when required
- Work in a safe manner obeying all plant safety rules
- Report all incidents/accidents to the Supervisor
- Ability to work shifts
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Perform other duties as required
- Follow wall company policies as described in the employee handbook
Requirements:
- Secondary school education
- Previous manufacturing experience an asset
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must have good communication skills
- Must have basic math skills (add subtract multiply and divide)
- Is a team player and results oriented
- Lift truck experience a definite asset
- Exhibit a sense of urgency and be able to demonstrate the ability to solve problems in a fast aced environment
- Must have good attendance including punctuality
