About The Business
More than 300 million customers shop on Amazons global store every day browsing purchasing and reviewing products sold by both Amazon and thirdparty sellers. About The Role
The International Seller Services (ISS) Finance team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Finance Analyst to work with the Seller Experience and Special projects team. This role will play a pivotal role in shaping the global strategy around new businesses models that scale world wide along with designing implementing and scaling Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools across the 3rd party business.
Sellers are the lifeblood of Amazons Marketplace and new sellers are a critical driver of growth contributing significantly to both our active seller base and product selection. By recruiting and supporting thirdparty 3P) sellers ISS helps them grow their businesses on Amazonwhether through their own logistics networks or by leveraging Amazons global fulfillment and customer service capabilities. A healthy and thriving seller ecosystem is essential to the longterm success of Amazons 3P business.
Key job responsibilities
Core Analysis & Reporting:
Develop complex financial models and forecasts
Lead monthly/quarterly financial close processes
Prepare and analyze budget variance reports
Create executivelevel presentations and reports
Perform trend analysis and business insights
Business Partnership:
Partner with business stakeholders to drive decisions
Provide financial guidance to operational teams
Support strategic planning initiatives
Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs)
Project Management:
Lead medium to largescale finance projects
Improve and automate financial processes
Manage analytical deliverables and timelines
Coordinate with crossfunctional teams
Technical Responsibilities:
Build and maintain financial dashboards
Develop KPI tracking systems
Perform adhoc analysis and special projects
Validate data accuracy and integrity
Leadership:
Mentor junior analysts
Review work of more junior team members
Lead small teams on specific projects
Train new team members on processes/systems
Risk & Controls:
Ensure compliance with financial policies
Identify and resolve discrepancies
Maintain internal controls
Support audit requirements
3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
4 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
4 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
4 years of identifying leading and executing opportunities to improve automate standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
Bachelors degree in engineering statistics or business or Bachelors degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering process reengineering quality assurance) experience
Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
MBA or CPA
Knowledge of Tableau
Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
