POSITION CustodialSummer Help

LOCATION Districtwide

SCHEDULE

4 Day/10 Hour Schedule

6:00 AM 4:30 PM (inlcudes 1/2 hour unpaid lunch)

SALARY $16.66 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cleans school facilities to maintain a sanitary safe and attractive environment.
  • Keeps all floors in a clean and attractive condition and good state of preservation.
  • Performs general maintenance upkeep and repair.
  • Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash rubbish and waste.
  • Be familiar with the products and equipment used in the care of the building.
  • Professionally interact with District staff colleagues members of the public and students.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
  • Flexible in learning new concepts cooperates with others and adapts to a variety of assignments and conditions.
  • Demonstrates personal characteristics of flexibility highstress tolerance reliability punctuality dependability and an ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with other employees management staff students and the public.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Health and physical stamina to stand on feet for extended periods of time.
  • Perform work at various heights and perform various types of physical labor for up to a ten 10 hour shift.
  • Stand walk reach lift bend kneel stoop push and pull. Stand or walk 95 percent of the workday.
  • The position requires frequent squatting bending stooping or twisting at the neck and trunk while performing the essential job functions.
  • Fine motor skills including use ofhands and fingers to handle or feel objects and be able to hear or talk to others.
  • Perform work in adverse weather conditions.
