GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Ensures the placement of patients into beds in accordance with physician service patient accommodation needs and patient preferences.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilizes the EPIC registration demographic to capture metrics necessary for all aspects necessary of bed control. Collaborates as a teambased member to deliver best patient care with physician practices and extended care facilities and the patient transfer notification process. 40
- Utilizes effective communication with all personnel to ensure highest quality in bed control. 40
- Ensures proper procedures regarding all aspects of bed control are followed. 20
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
- High school diploma / GED
- Completion of medical/secretarial transcription program or equivalent
