Job Description

TEACHER OF THE DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING

A vacancy exists for at least one 1 teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing with the possibility of up to two 2 depending upon student enrollment/needs to provide related physical therapy to preschool and schoolage students based on critical skill areas on students IEPs for the Special Education Extended School Year Program at the Academic Learning Center and Orchard View Intermediate School. Qualifications include West Virginia certification in deaf and hard of hearing K12.

Employment Term

Dates of employment: July 7 August1
Teaching days: July 9 August 2 all half day
Teacher prep day: July 7thfull day (no students) August 1st
Only two full work days for teachers are July7 and August1

Salary Schedule
Berkeley County Schools Teacher Pay Scale based upon degree level and years of experience.

Specialized Skills
Must hold or can obtain WV teacher certification in Deaf & Hard of Hearing or Hearing impaired for all grade levels.
