Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to drive supplier performance ensure compliance and enhance supplier capabilities. This role blends technical expertise with supplier quality management working closely with supply chain engineering and manufacturing teams to maintain and improve supplier standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance Supplier Quality Practices Develop and refine quality processes techniques and best practices for our supplier network.
  • Supplier Performance & Compliance Evaluate and implement Supplier Quality Manuals SOPs and work instructions to meet company standards.
  • Supplier Relationship Management Work with Supply Chain teams to maintain and upgrade Approved Supplier Lists Quality Report Cards and Performance Metrics.
  • Supplier Audits & Corrective Actions Conduct onsite audits quality surveys and performance assessments while managing Corrective Actions (SCARs) to resolve quality issues.
  • Root Cause & ProblemSolving Investigate manufacturing discrepancies engineering issues and customer complaints collaborating across departments to implement corrective measures.
  • Process Improvement & Compliance Partner with Engineering Production and Quality Assurance to optimize processes in accordance with ISO9001 and AS9100C standards.
  • Technical Reporting & Documentation Maintain quality control records prepare reports and ensure compliance with company policies industry standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience with additional training in Quality Assurance & Control
  • 2 years of auditing experience 1 year offsite audits)
  • 48 years of experience in engineering production manufacturing quality control or reliability engineering
  • Expertise in ISO9001 AS9100C (NQA1 and ASME a plus)
  • Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills
  • ASQ Certification and/or experience in Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma tools (preferred)
  • Must have QUALITY ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE IN MANUFACTURING

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in MS Office & PC applications
Knowledge of inspection techniques processes and equipment
Ability to stay uptodate with evolving quality control standards and industry advancements
