This Vendor Manager will work on Musical Instruments Strings and Accessories categories and be responsible for identifying potential brand and product business opportunities building direct relationships with key suppliers negotiating contracts managing vendor setup and new item setup processes setting prices developing collaborative marketing and promotions and driving sales and margin improvements. The candidate should have experience in building strong relationships driving significant top and bottom line results and be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities and within a fastpaced environment. They must have the leadership presence and communication skills to represent Amazon at all executive levels of these organizations. The candidate must also possess strong analytical acumen and be comfortable drawing metricbased conclusions by managing an extensive amount of data. This person needs to have a deep curiosity about how things work and a passion for creating a world class shopping experience for our customers. Passion for musical instruments/music creation is a plus.
The right candidate stays on top of industry and competitive trends and is able to both create and drive strategy with extensive ambiguity while also executing on a tactical level to drive selection sales and margin growth. This individual will be responsible for leading our credibility and selection strategies to improve our customer experience and education. In addition the Vendor Manager must be an effective leader and communicator in working with and leading crossfunctional teams within Amazon such as instock management site merchandising central teams marketing PR finance operations and retail systems.
The ideal candidate has strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and relationship management. Proven analytical thinking project management skills attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills are musts.
