To assist the Head Wrangler Animal Trainer Handler in the training care and feeding of Tuacahn animal assets. You will support the Head Wrangler in show performance and preparations for the animal needs of nightly Tuacahn Broadway season productions. Experience in equestrian riding and care is preferred and expected!
Essential Functions
To care and feed for the Tuacahn animal department assets. Job duties will include stall cleaning horses camels chickens lambs goats dogs and other seasonal needs.
Other Job descriptions include Handling Animals for every stage performance!
Days include: Evenings Weekends Holidays 3 Weeks of day shift during our TECH WEEK!
Cleaning organization for all Tuacahn department animal department assets. To include tack rooms stalls pens hitching post preset area and arenas additional tack and harness cleaning.
Maintaining and health checks for all Tuacahn department animal department asset. Job duties will include riding exercising assisting outside professionals if needed!
Training for theatrical performance of all Tuacahn department animal department assets. Assisting the head animal training in preparations for the Broadway season. Job duties will include the training of actors and interaction with Directors.
Presetting and setup of the animal needs for the evening performance
Performing and assisting in the evening performance. To include appearing on stage in costume. Securing animals after the performance and completing nightly checklists.
Qualifications:
A strong candidate will be familiar with the care and feeding of general farm animals. Have a passion for equestrian skills and desire to nurture and train animals for theatrical performance
Ability to interact well with others. Patience and calm demeanor when interacting with others.
Passion for animals and the care and well being of animals
Ability to take direction and problem solve under pressure.
Skilled in equestrian riding and care.
General knowledge of animal care.
Must be able to work evenings Holidays and weekends.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift heavy objects typically found in a large animal environment.
