About STMA Schools
We are a district that serves over6700students and employs750employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis Minnesota. Our districtconsistsof one primary school for kindergarten students three elementary schools for grades 14 two middle schools for grades 58 and one high school for grades 912.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
Responsible for preparing lessons instructing students with a wide range of abilities assessing student learning collecting and analyzing student data to plan instruction creating an engaging and respectful classroom environment communicating with students parent and multiple stakeholders maintaining accurate records supervising students participating in school improvement initiatives and learning professionally. This is a districtwide position assigned to a specific building. The Building Substitute Teacher will primarally fill absences among certified staff but may be assigned to before and after school duty lunch duty supervision and other duties. The Building Substitute may also be assigned to fill support staff abences and may be assigned to other buildings on a daily or semipermanent based based on the needs of the district.

Contract: 173 days (student contact days only)
Contract Length: September 2 2025June 4 2025
Schedule: 7:00am3:00pm MondayFriday student contact days only.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelors degree and required substitute teaching license or regular teaching license (shortcall longcall or lifetime substitute teaching license or Tier 3 or Tier 4 teaching license).
Salary & Benefits
Competitive salary and benefits Range: $32870 to $34600. To be eligible for the higher level of pay must have worked as a licensed teacher in a fulltime longterm substitute building substitute or daily substitute capity for at least 60 student contact days during theschool year.

This position is eligible for the same benefits contributions and benefits elections as our certified staff; however the certified staff collective bargaining agreement does not apply to this position.
