What Youll Do:
For weary travelers youre more than a bartender. Youre a friendly face at the end of a long flight or a stressful day. In addition to expertly mixing cocktails and serving up icecold drafts you are an ultrafriendly ambassador for the Hotel.
Sure you will be preparing drinks taking orders and serving plates of deliciousness. But more than that youll take your food and beverage expertise and mix thoroughly with your knowledge of the city to give our guests an unforgettable experience. Piece of cake right
Here are a few things you can expect to do during a typical shift:
1. Demonstrate and promote a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products menus and promotions.
2. You know the ins and outs of making a creative and tasty drink.
3. Youll understand when its okay to chat with guests and know when you should be invisible.
4. Serve snacks or food items to guests seated at the bar.
Where Youve Been:
Were looking for someone with a High School diploma (or equivalent) as well as previous bartending experience and a current Food Handlers Permit. The ability to think on your feet and work calmly under pressure is essential so any background working in those types of environments is a plus.
When Youre Here:
This probably goes without saying but youll be on your feet a lot. There will be occasions when you may be carrying/lifting up to 25 pounds walking bending/twisting and climbing stairs Since people tend to go to bars at night youll be needed to work flexible schedules including weekends. But wait theres a great upside: in exchange for your flexibility we offer excellent pay hotel discounts and the opportunity to be part of an anythingbutstandard growing hotel company.
