Program Manager Aerospace and Defense
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to join our Aerospace and Defense team. This role is pivotal in ensuring successful program by managing financial controls schedules contractual submittals and fostering strong customer relationships. The Program Manager will work closely with crossfunctional teams to deliver results that align with customer expectations and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Controls: Ensure programs are delivered within specific program award budgets including tracking costs and managing financial performance.
- Schedule Controls: Develop and oversee schedules to ensure ontime contract performance allocating resources effectively to adapt to changing contract requirements.
- Contractual Submittals: Manage the production and timely delivery of required documents reports and program updates as outlined by specific contract requirements.
- Customer Relations:
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Serve as the face of the organization ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering longterm partnerships.
- Crossfunctional collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams including engineering manufacturing quality assurance and sales to ensure seamless program .
- Business Acumen: Maintain a clear understanding of business practices accounting procedures quality assurance standards contracts and manufacturing processes to support program success.
- Technical Expertise: Leverage a thorough understanding of engineering concepts and techniques to communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years managing complex programs preferably in the Aerospace and Defense industry with demonstrated financial management skills and exceptional communication abilities.Education:Preferred: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent engineering discipline.Preferred but not required: Advanced degree (MBA or MS) and related aerospace experience
Skills:
- Proven ability to lead crossfunctional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance practices sales techniques and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problemsolving negotiation and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in program management tools and techniques.
- Must have experience leading Program Management efforts in a Manufacturing setting.
