REGISTERED UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT OF NURSING (RUSON) WARD 3 WEST
DEPARTMENT
Ward 3 West is a 32 bed Cardiology and Cardiothoracic inpatient unit which sits within the Alfred Heart and Lung clinical program. 3 West specialises in the management of patients requiring medical and interventional Cardiology & Cardiothoracic surgical services while also providing continuous cardiac monitoring services for patients from a wide range of medical and surgical specialties.3 West is a fast paced unit that works within a collaborative and multidisciplinary care model to facilitate timely delivery of quality care to both our elective and emergency patient cohorts.
POSITION:
The RUSON is a key member of the multidisciplinary team on 3 role of the Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing (RUSON) is to provide delegated elements of clinical nursing care and support to assist the nursing team in their delivery of safe and quality patient care. The RUSON works under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse within their level of education and assessed competencies and under clearly defined role parameters. The RUSON provides supportive personalised patientcentred care to our diverse patient cohort.
