Highly skilled Scientists with expertise in material science polymer fabrication and tissue engineering to drive innovation in medical devices and regenerative medicine are encouraged to apply. Additionally candidates with a background in leading R&D efforts in developing biomaterials bioengineered scaffolds and implantable medical devices while ensuring biocompatibility efficacy scalability and regulatory compliance would be wellsuited for this role. A strong background in biofabrication techniques and translational tissue engineering would be highly valuable.

This person will be required to continuously sit stand and lift up to 50 lbs.They willcontinuouslywork in a sterile or isolation area.Additionally this person will be required to pass a pre employment health screening.

How you will contribute to LifeNet Healths success:

The Lead Scientist participates in corporate level strategic and resource planning. Develops and manages research and product development projects and interface with internal business stakeholders. Implements strategies develop methodology and work collaboratively with cross functional teams to optimize study designs and study protocol. Provides scientific assistance for divisional laboratory efforts. Contributes in the development of intellectual property in support of the divisional project portfolio.

What youll do:

• Technology Development: Develops techniques and technologies needed to develop clinical or research products and investigates the feasibility of the potential inventions and products. Makes major contributions in assessing external technology for inhouse application potential licensing or partner opportunities. Makes major contribution in the development of intellectual property in support of the divisional project portfolio.
• Strategy: Implements strategies develop methodology and work collaboratively with cross functional teams to optimize study designs and study protocol. Makes major contributions to corporate level strategic and resource planning as well as project prioritization.
• Leadership: Provides oversight to assigned team by supervising guiding and directing employees to be effective team members. Ensures that everyone is equipped with the right skills tools and talents necessary for executing their duties. Using the established people processes (performance development succession and career) to ensure that their teams level of performance and capabilities meet current and future standards. Leads multifunctional teams to plan and execute projects according to goals budgets and timelines to achieve corporate objectives.
• Support: Provides scientific support for technical and nontechnical staff including guidance and project review.
• Reporting and Communicating: Represents the department in various departmental and interdepartmental committees that address scientific and administrative initiatives. Reviews writes submits and presents results of research initiatives both internally and externally.

What youll bring (Minimum Requirements):

• PhD in Biology Biochemistry Engineering Chemistry Biomedical Engineering Biotechnology or a related field.
• Eight 8 years of related industry experience.
• Five 5 years of supervisory experience with responsibilities of direct reports performance.

Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications:

• Ten 10 years of related industry experience.

• Research/ Problem Solving: Leads thorough analysis of situations with appropriate attention to detail and the big picture including consideration of impact at multiple levels of the system.
• Communication Skills: Written verbal and presentation; ability to engage inspire and influence people.

Salary: $132659 $176879 annually

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location and the candidates qualifications and prior relevant experience. The pay range for this position is $132659 annually (entrylevel qualifications) to $176879 annually (experienced in this role).

* Actual compensation may be higher based on the successful candidates knowledge and relevant experience.

This position is eligible for an annual bonus once eligibility criteria are met.
