Job Description

What you will do

In this role you will help save lives by assisting in the inspection of fire sprinkler systems. You will also be stepping onto a noble career path to be a life safety professional.

Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections testing service and preventative maintenance on Electrical Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines.

How you will do it

  • Assisting our customers to keep their buildings and occupants safe and compliant by inspecting and testing fire alarm systems and associated devices to make sure they are fully functional and operational
  • Complete Inspection reports and documents with proper coding through communication devices such as laptop computers and/or hard copy
  • Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule
  • Input retrieve and archive inspection documents via laptop computer
  • Complete assigned inspections on time
  • Perform duties with the safety of yourself and your colleagues and customers in mind 100 of the time
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What we look for

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service
  • Able to work well with others
  • Selfstarter who can eventually work with little to no supervision
  • Strong organizational skills positive attitude and an ability to learn quickly
  • Basic computer skills Microsoft (Excel Word Outlook) along with SmartPhone skills
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and willing to work with scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet. Understanding this may include working within ducts crawl spaces above ceilings etc.
  • Able to adhere to implement and always follow safety guidelines and procedures
  • Possess a valid drivers license and driving record that meets company requirements
  • Able to pass a preemployment background and drug test

Preferred

  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints diagrams and operational/product manuals.
  • Experience with hand tools and barcode scanners.
  • NICET II requried
