Are you passionate about animal welfare and looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact Look no further! DN Colleges Group is seeking a dedicated Weekend Relief Animal Technician to join our dynamic team!

Key Responsibilities:

As a Relief Animal Technician you will play a crucial role in ensuring the wellbeing of our animal residents. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking comprehensive care for all animals encompassing health checks preventative treatments feeding accommodation maintenance exercise routines enrichment activities and grooming.
  • Administering all necessary administrative duties associated with animal care such as maintaining health and welfare records conducting stocktaking of supplies and equipment and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating effectively with team members attending meetings and actively contributing to quality assurance systems and procedures including participating in reviews and evaluations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in animal care or related field preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for animal welfare.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.

This vacancy is a permanent role andwill join the team of relief technicians to cover weekends and bank holidays as well as weekday staff leave. This will work on a rota basis with minimum weekend hours being 4 hours per week up to 8 hours a day 16 hours per week.

Interview date: 19th / 20th May

As part of the recruitment process and in line with keeping children safe in education we will conduct social media checks on shortlisted candidates. Additionally before commencing employment all employees undergo safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS.

Lets Teach Programme
Lets Teach The LETs teach programme supports new members of teaching staff in terms of college systems and key teaching and learning areas including new staff lesson visits and postcard peeps. Each new member of staff has an allocated Lead Practitioner who works closely with them throughout the programme.

Lets Bloom
The LETs Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risktaking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team capturing their experimentation in a journal.
