You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailRichmond Community Schools is seeking a qualified compassionate and studentcentered Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will provide services to students across the district who have speech language voice fluency and communication disorders that adversely affect educational performance. This position involves screening evaluation intervention and collaboration with educators parents and support staff to support student success.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Provide direct and consultative speechlanguage services as identified in student IEPs.
Maintain accurate records of assessments progress monitoring and therapy sessions.
Participate in IEP team meetings METs and parent conferences.
Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school staff to integrate communication goals into the educational environment.
Provide input on assistive technology and augmentative communication tools when needed.
Contribute to a positive inclusive and supportive educational atmosphere.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology from an accredited university.
Valid State of Michigan SLP license and/or temporary approval; CCCSLP preferred.
Michigan Department of Education (MDE) approval or ability to obtain MDE approval.
Knowledge of IDEA Section 504 and MTSS processes.
Strong communication organizational and problemsolving skills.
Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
