Key Responsibilities:
Advising New Systems Acquisitions: Assisting the government in the acquisition of new capabilities and upgrades.
Delivering New Capabilities: Regular communications with users to understand new requirements working with development contractors to understand requirements and develop plans to deliver new capabilities working with Operations to coordinate testing and the final delivery of new capabilities to fulfill user requirements.
Systems Architectures: Various systems architectures and eventually act as subject matter experts in advising the government clients on acquisition related decisions.
RF Testing: Witnessing equipment installations and testing
Proposal Review and Development: Assist the government in contract related work including the development of Statements of Work proposal review and development contractor performance assessments.
Network Architecture: Focus on understanding the detailed network architectures that make up the systems and work with developers and operations to troubleshoot network issues.
Work Environment:
Location: Onsite
Travel Requirements: Minimal travel up to 15 within the United States and OCONUS
Working Hours: Standard
Qualifications:
Required:
Clearance: TS/SCI with a Polygraph
Education: Bachelors in Engineering Computer Science or related technical degree
Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience
Requirements Documentation: Requirements documentation is another key responsibility to ensure the baseline is maintained.
Desired:
Satellite Systems Experience: 3 years of experience with Commercial/Government acquisition of satellite/ground segment hardware/software or satellite based special communications field set hardware/software.
Education: Masters in Engineer Computer Science or related technical degree
IT Networks: Good understanding of standard IT networks performance topologies etc.
Radio Frequency: Prior experience with RF based satellite communications.
Digital Signals: Prior experience with digital signal processing.
