JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Altoona is accepting applications for Senseational Endeavors Camp Counselors.
The Senseational Endeavors Camp is an awardwinning summer program designed for children with autism spectrum disorders. The camp runs Monday through Friday July 718 and takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily at Penn State Altoona.
Camp counselors will work with children ages 4 to 15 supporting instructors with classroom activities creative projects camper supervision and ensuring a safe inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist instructors with daily activities and projects
- Supervise campers and promote safety
- Engage and support children with diverse needs
Requirements:
- Must attend training prior to camp start
- Completion of background checks and clearances through Penn State
- Previous experience working with youth is preferred especially with individuals on the autism spectrum
