Who Are We Looking For:
Job Qualifications:
- Math competency through at least Algebra 2 (Precalculus and Calculus knowledge a plus!
- Excellent attendance and reliability
- Proficient communication skills
- Passion for math and eager to learn
- Prior tutoring experience is preferred but not required
Requirements:
- Instruct using the Mathnasium Method (training provided)
- Score and correct student work
- Assist in nonteaching tasks as needed
- This is an incenter position.
- All applicants will be required to take a math proficiency test
- Provide work authorization and pass a background check.

Our instructional approach goes beyond traditional math tutoring to develop understanding and build a love for math.
What is the difference between a Mathnasium Instructor and a traditional Tutor
In a traditional tutoring setting tutors have to teach off of whatever their student brings to them that night (homework test review etc). It is the tutors responsibility to plan the best way to help the student. At Mathnasium all students are a part of an ongoing program and their curriculum is provided by Mathnasium. This removes the stress of scheduling tutoring sessions and planning lessons from the tutor.
All Instructors are provided paid training to acquaint them with Mathnasium curriculum teaching strategies and how to team teach.
Compensation: $16.00 $18.00 per hour
