Business/Function Overview

The Commercial Operations Manager is a member of the Canadian Marketing Team reporting to the Canadian Marketing Director and is responsible for the development fulfillment and data management of both grower and channel customer programs for the plant health and crop protection business units. The position is responsible for the relationship with FMC Canadas customer data collection agency and managing data stewardship for 3rd party transactional data within FMC Canada. The preferred location for this position is the FMC Canadas Calgary Office however candidates will be considered who are homebased in Canada within reasonable proximity of a major airport.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ownership of FMC data processes rebate fulfillment and program design

  • Work with finance IT and data management teams to own and refine fulfillment of all customer programs in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Work closely with fulfillment specialist to reconcile all FMC customer programs accurately and on time.

  • Lead design of grower and channel customer programs to achieve Canadian Business Commercial goals.

  • Supply agreedupon marketing tools necessary for superb of Operating Plans i.e. pricing & programs promotions and product forecasting.

  • Own the relationship with 3rd party Data Collection agency and manage all internal processes and stakeholders for stewardship and reporting of customer 3rd party transactional data

  • Provide Sales and Finance functions with direction and guidance on administration of marketing programs for assigned products ensuring adequate review process and accrual evaluation prior to implementation.

  • Provide training & support for field sales teams and customers as appropriate.

  • Administrative tasks as required with a focus on implementing processes to reduce administrative tasks.

  • Travel approximately 15 depending on time of the year

Required Education

Bachelors degree

Qualifications

  • 35 years sales experience and/or 3 years marketing experience.

  • 58 years experience in the agricultural crop industry is preferred.

  • Knowledge of the Canadian Agricultural Market as it relates to market dynamics.

  • Strong understanding of CRM systems processes and data

  • Ability to prioritize issues and reach an appropriate decision using sound judgment.

  • Ability to drive decisions and bring conclusion to issues.

  • Ability to think and work in integrated teams across Finance Marketing Sales Accounts and IT

  • Demonstrated financial acumen/analytical skills

  • Above average spreadsheet and presentation software skills

  • Strong interpersonal collaboration and organizational skills
