Job Description

CES is seeking a preschool teacher and director for theschool year and beyond. The Teacher/Director is responsible for promoting the academic and socialemotional growth of all children including those with special needs. This role includes oversight of curriculum keeping and maintaining confidential records for staff and students in compliance with state licensing system maintaining 4 our of 5 STARS with the Step Ahead Recognition System to ensure that the program is a Universal PreKindergarten (UPK) prequalified education program. The Teacher/Director will partner with families ensures highquality programming staff coordination and alignment with CES mission and goals. Key Responsibilities:Design and implement developmentally appropriate weekly curriculumConduct ongoing assessments using Teaching Strategies Gold and meet individual needs of each a safe nurturing and inclusive classroom environmentMaintain regular supportive communication with parents and caregiversSupport smooth transitions between home classrooms and grade levelsManage daily operations and maintain all required documentation and recordsEnsure compliance with Vermont child care licensing regulationsCollaborate with special educators related services providers staff and school administration Report any suspicion of child abuse or neglect as requiredLead continuous program improvementEnsure constant supervision and safety of all childrenNestled at the base of the green mountains with views of beautiful Mount Mansfield Cambridge Elementary is home to a top notch team of highly committed educators and support staff amazing students and a supportive community.
