Job Description
- Staff Training June 9 to June 13
- Program Dates June 16 to August 8
- Program Schedule 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
- The Elementary Teacher is responsible for building relationships with students and facilitating learning in the summer day program.
- Duties include academic and life skills instruction community service and recreational activities teaching Christian education and facilitating group work with students involving experiential learning.
- The elementary teacher is responsible for maintaining Puentes standard of classroom behavior during program class size averages fifteen to twenty students.
- BA in Education Social Work or a related field.
- A passion for working with elementaryage students.
- Classroom or group experience with children.
- Previous experience facilitating experiential or service learning is strongly preferred.
- Experience with and sensitivity to the needs of students from lowincome highrisk families.
- Bilingual (Spanish/ English) strongly preferred.
- A current valid IL drivers license along with a good driving record is required.
- A commitment to Wheaton Bible Churchs Statement of Mission & Faith.
