As part of the M&S Dealer Experience Platforms team the Senior Software Engineer Manager is responsible for developing resilient and scalable solutions in Java and cloudnative environments adhering to industry best practices and company standards. Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and fullstack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and fullstack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company
- Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends experimenting with and learning new technologies participating in internal & external technology communities mentoring other members of the engineering community and from time to time being asked to code or evaluate code
- Collaborate with digital product managers and deliver robust cloudbased solutions that drive powerful experiences to provide customer and dealer experience
- Utilize programming languages like React Java HTML/CSS TypeScript SQL Python Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes
- Ability to deliver solutions: consistent optimized resilient documented secure
Qualifications
- 13 overall years of experience building and maintaining complex enterprise web applications in microservice product architecture
- At least 6 years of experience in leading software engineering delivery
- At least 3 years experience with cloud computing (AWS Azure Google Cloud)
- At least 3 years of people management and agile delivery experience
- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Possess indepth expertise in core technologies including Java Spring Spring Boot RESTful APIs messaging frameworks containerbased development (Docker) Elasticsearch relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) NoSQL solutions (Azure Cosmos DB or Cassandra) and eventdriven architecture solutions like Kafka.
- Experience in successfully migrating legacy applications to modern cloudbased architectures utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of Continuous Delivery process and tools testing frameworks and practices (preferably GitHub Ready API Terraform Tekton etc..
- Understand the testing pyramid develop a suite of unit tests and API tests and adopt a testasyoucode strategy.
