Position: Preschool Teachers Assistant (Early Childhood Education)
Responsibilities:
Assist the Preschool Lead Teacher in the supervision teaching and management of a group of children under the age of six years old. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist the teacher to plan implement and supervise an appropriate program according to the philosophy of Portland Christian for the assigned class and in close working relationship with other staff.
- Constant and consistent supervision of the children in a positive style of teaching and training.
- Observe record and report on individual and group behaviors and injuries.
- Assume a share of the housekeeping responsibilities of the staff.
- Promote parent involvement through parent meetings and communications.
- Attend all staff meetings and events.
- Maintain professional conduct attitude appearance and loyalty at all times; treat all people with respect and dignity.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
PCS employees are expected to fully engage in the stated mission of the school to educate students in the truth of Gods word in every area of instruction and activity so that their lives may be transformed by the renewing of their minds. Must be willing to sign the PCS Statement of Faith andLifestyle Statement. Abackground check will be run after a preliminaryoffer of employment is made.
Work Week and Hours:
MondayFriday hours may vary
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or AA Degree.
Oregon Registry: Must obtain a step 3 or higher within one year of employment.
Pay: $16.02/hr
