What makes the Dedicated Care Center unique We are Sentaras only concierge practice. We pride ourselves in being able to dedicate more time to spend with our patients by having smaller panel sizes. We offer weekday office hours (which means no weekends) potential for staff to earn monthly incentives and each staff member has their own personal office!
This role has an opportunity to earn monthly incentives!

As aMedical Assistantwith Sentara you will work directly with a doctor conducting clerical and some limited clinical duties which include bringing the patients into rooms taking vitals verifying patient information and preparing them for the doctor. Overview
Perform patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training education and competency evaluations and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA) Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Education
- High School Graduate or equivalent
Certification/Licensure
- Certified Medical Assistant Registered Medical Assistant Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or certified EMT (EMTB AEMT) required
Experience
- Required to have one year of clinical/administrative experience
- Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare setting or one year experience as an EMT Paramedic and/or Corpsman preferred.
- Phlebotomy experience preferred plus experience with electronic medical records.
