About our Dentist role
As a Casual Dentist youll play a key role in providing comprehensive dental care to members of the Australian Defence Force. This role offers a Monday to Friday schedule between 7:00am and 4:00pm with a preference for candidates who are available at least two days per week.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Emergency dental treatments
- Routine checkups and preventative care
- Minor oral surgeries
- Diagnostic imaging (Xrays)
- Simple and complex extractions
- Root canal therapy
- Prosthodontic planning and management

As the ideal applicant you will have:
- A strong commitment to integrity ethics and clinical excellence
- Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA as a General Dentist
- Minimum two years of fulltime chairside clinical experience (or parttime equivalent) within the last five years
- Evidence of recent CPD in accordance with AHPRA requirements
- Current HLTAID011 (First Aid) and HLTAID009 (CPR) certifications
- Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Defence Security Clearance
About the Robertson Health Centre
Located at Robertson Barracks in Holtze just 15km east of Darwin Robertson Health Centre delivers integrated healthcare services to approximately 2800 fulltime Defence members and a significant US Marine rotation of 2500 personnel every six months.
Our modern fully equipped centre provides:
- Primary medical and dental care
- Mental health physiotherapy and pharmaceutical services
- A 22bed 24/7 inpatient ward with outpatient services operating Monday to Friday 07:30 15:30
Youll work in a purposebuilt clinical setting as part of a supportive experienced team.
