What youll be responsible for
As a Senior Software Engineer at Circle youll play a key role in elevating the developer experience across web2 and web3 ecosystems. Youll lead the development of intuitive SDKs developer tooling and sample applications as well as backend services that support external and internal developer audiences. Working closely with technical leads crossfunctional partners and product teams you will impact architectural decisions refine engineering standards and promote effective methods throughout the team. Youll contribute to existing systems shape new products before launch and assess developer experiences with a critical lensbalancing deep web3 expertise with appreciation for web2 developers. Through mentorship code reviews and handson contributions youll help ensure Circle delivers highimpact developerfriendly solutions at scale.
What youll work on
Design and implement SDKs APIs and developer tooling that are easy to use performant and welldocumented
Build and maintain customerfacing and internal applications that support developer workflows
Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver tools that simplify the developer journey
Proactively evaluate and improve the developer experience of new and upcoming products
Participate in architectural decisions technical planning and design reviews
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to teamwide engineering standard processes
What youll bring to Circle
5 years of software engineering experience including expertise in TypeScript/NodeJS and Python
Strong background in building SDKs APIs and developerfacing tools
Proven ability to craft and maintain scalable productionready software
Experience collaborating crossfunctionally with product and design teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a remotefirst environments
Dedication to clean welltested code and continuous delivery practices
Experience/familiarity with Slack Apple MacOS and GSuite
Familiarity with generative AI models (ChatGPT Gemini etc. and crafting effective prompts
Preferred Requirements
Experience developing in or integrating with web3 technologies and protocols
Ability to evaluate developer tools from both web2 and web3 perspectives
Interest or experience applying modern AI/ML techniques in product development

Starting pay is determined by various factors including but not limited to: relevant experience skill set qualifications and other business and organizational needs. Please note that compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.
Base Pay Range:
$147500 $195000
