CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Prepares comprehensive investigative plans outlining key elements such as scope relevant issues potential sources of evidence and interview subjects.
Conducts timely investigations into internal and external complaints involving alleged misconduct including harassment and/or retaliation.
Drafts written responses to internal complaints and external charges for review and approval by leadership.
Maintains current knowledge of employmentrelated laws and regulations in order to provide accurate guidance to managers faculty staff and other stakeholders.
Provides training and coaching on employee relations topics and supports Human Resources partners with guidance on proper investigative procedures.
Manages a wide range of employee concerns offering counsel on University policies and helping resolve complaints effectively.
Collaborates with internal partners across Human Resources including Client Services Recruitment Talent and Organizational Development Compensation and Benefits.
Oversees accurate and compliant use of the departments case management system ensuring timely documentation and closure of investigations.
Participates in special departmental projects and initiatives as assigned.
Ensures confidentiality and safeguards sensitive data in accordance with institutional protocols.
Represents the department in meetings or presentations with various internal and external stakeholders as assigned.
Adheres to University and departmental policies while supporting institutional goals and values.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Masters degree in a relevant field required. Juris Doctor (J.D. preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 35 years of experience conducting employmentrelated investigations or a combination of equivalent experience and education.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships
Proficient in analyzing complex information and preparing detailed reports
Proven ability to lead coach and train others
High level of discretion in handling confidential information
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management tools
