Job Description
General Responsibilities:Centerville School District is accepting applications for a full time 7th/8th grade teacher. We are a small district located in South Central Washington. This rural K8 school is a unique opportunity for educators to each all subjects and an ideal location for a motivated strong academic based educator to practice their craft of teaching. The school has strong family and community support that provides an ideal culture for teaching and learning. Responsibilities include developing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards fostering a positive classroom culture assessing student progress and collaborating with parents and colleagues. Assignment:Teacher pay scale currentlyschool year) ranges from $52567 $99077 annually based on education and experience. Full benefits include health dental vision insurance. Department of Retirement Systems DCP and other optional benefits available. Other extracurricular roles and pay stipends may also be available. - The role requires the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students across wide range of academic levels.
- Develop lesson plans and teaching outlines using Washington State Standards.
- Teach using a variety of instructional materials and aids appropriate to the intellectual and instructional level of students from varied socioeconomic backgrounds who possess a range of mental and emotional maturity.
- Plan develop and utilize a variety of instructional materials and aids appropriate to the intellectual and instructional level of students from varied socioeconomic backgrounds who possess a range of mental and emotional maturity.
- Provide group and individual instruction to motivate students and effectively utilize the time available for instructional activities.
- Prepare administer score record and report student growth data.
- Counsel confer with and communicate with parents and school/district personnel regarding pupil progress.
- Monitor childrens interactions and nurture cooperation and team building.
- Collaborate with all school staff members.
- Follow and comply with teaching standards and safety regulations.
- Other extracurricular roles and pay stipends may also be available.
- Bachelors Degree
- Teaching Degree
- Elementary Education or related endorsement(s).
- Prior teaching experience.
- Classroom environment.
