Position: SchoolBased Occupational Therapist (Multiple Positions)

Location: Enfield Public Schools Enfield CT

Employment Type: FullTime

Job Description:
The Occupational Therapist will provide comprehensive services to students with disabilities ensuring they can participate fully in their educational experience. This role involves assessing students needs developing individualized intervention plans and collaborating with educators parents and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations to identify students needs and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Implement evidencebased interventions to improve students academic performance social participation and selfcare skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers parents and other school staff to integrate occupational therapy strategies into the classroom.
  • Monitor and document students progress adjusting interventions as necessary.
  • Provide training and support to teachers and staff on best practices for accommodating students with disabilities.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Connecticut.
  • Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and its application in schools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
