Sovah Health is seeking a PRN Radiology Assistant to perform tasks that assist the technologists in completion of various radiologic procedures. Primary duties will be related to patient transport.
- Transport patients from one section of Radiology to another and from other areas of the Medical Center.
- Assists with cleaning of patient if necessary.
- Observe patients awaiting radiographic procedures as well as patients waiting to return to their rooms.
- Reports any suspected problems to the appropriate personnel.
- Assists with transfer of patients from stretcher or wheelchair to and from xray table or treatment table.
- Maintains designated work area and equipment in safe condition.
- Complies with organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
- Cleaned transport equipment as needed.
- Monitors oxygen tanks for pressure and exchanges tanks when necessary
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Heart Saver CPR American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Prior patient care experience preferred.
