Amazon World Wide Grocery Store Tech (WWGST) Retail Infrastructure is looking for a passionate and innovative Program Manager to join our Hardware Deployment team. This team is responsible for leading complex and challenging projects that will deliver innovative technical solutions to our physical stores. We have an opportunity to revolutionize the brick and mortar grocery shopping experience at Amazon banner grocery stores and set new standards for accessing the highest quality organic and natural groceries across the US Canada and the UK.
As a Program Manager II you will be a key member of tech leadership and will need to drive forward the technology across Whole Foods Market and Amazon Fresh to create a best in class grocery shopping experience.
We are looking for an individual with strong business and technical skills great communication abilities and a passion to implement new technologies to help our banners thrive at delivering the highest customer obsession.
In the PM role you will be responsible for leading the physical deployment efforts for large projects that span multiple technology and operational teams and thirdparty OEM and Field Service partners. These projects will include initiatives such as rolling out new technology to existing stores and leading efforts to develop and implement creative solutions leading POS/SCO image engineering as well as printer and service scale efforts.
Key job responsibilities
Basic qualifications
5 years of program management experience leading enterpriselevel infrastructure projects
5 years managing retail Point of Sale (POS) Audio/Visual and Network related projects
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience managing thirdparty 3P) vendors including vendor selection and relationship management
Experience working with legal and indirect procurement teams for defining and negotiating contract terms
Experience creating and managing program budgets
Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must
Preferred qualifications
5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multimillion dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
A day in the life
The primary focus of this role will be to partner with our Retail Technology teams to help them evaluate new technology develop strategies requirements project plans and lead the deployment of the new technology to our physical stores.
The successful candidate will have a passion for working with technology and operations teams as well as endusers to ensure the best experience for our business partners instore team members and customers.
About the team
The Retail Infrastructure Services Hardware Deployment team is a team of program managers who are dedicated to bringing the best customer experience to both our internal and external customers and excited to accomplish that through implementing new technology in our physical stores.
5 years of program or project management experience
5 years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience working cross functionally with tech and nontech teams
5 years of driving end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership experience
5 years of driving process improvements experience
Experience in stakeholder management dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience building processes project management and schedules
