PRIMARY FUNCTIONSupports campus administration in ensuring student academic progress towards graduation and develops comprehensive college and career readiness programming to facilitate successful student postsecondary transitions. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDelivers direct postsecondary college and career guidance to all Ki Charter School academic transcripts according to Ki Charter and Texas guidelines and integrates transfer student student schedules and elective options to administrators and designs and executes transition activities covering various postsecondary readiness topics for students and timely FAFSA completion for graduating oncampus career exploration days with campus inperson postsecondary support specifically for potential and manages Personal Graduation Plans (PGP) for students in grades 8th and administers ASVAB to High School with stakeholders to support student transitions to other educational with school personnel to improve high school graduation rates focusing on senior external partnerships to enhance postsecondary opportunities for potential graduates with college and career resources and / or informational and analyzes data related to key postsecondary indicators (ASVAB CTE certifications ACCUPLACER).Coordinates ACCUPLACER tutoring services and and ensures that all candidates for graduation have met state and local campus leadership and educators in meeting school and district duties as Skills/AbilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent supervisory and leadership skillsExcellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to professionally and effectively communicate with educators parents and community leadersExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExtremely effective administration of multifaceted operationsThorough understanding of applicable local state and federal educational laws regulations policies and requirementsThorough understanding of instructional methodologyKnowledge of best practices in education and educational administrationAbility to identify and solve problemsCreative thinking skillsAbility to create understand and implement budgets and budgeting practicesProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareRequirementsBachelors degree from accredited university. School Counselor in student transition or counseling programs.
